A Winter Escape to Lake Bled
Slovenia is truly a hidden gem, and my visit over New Year's with my family was nothing short of magical. We spent a lot of time around Lake Bled, which, as expected, was stunning. The iconic castle perched above the lake, the surrounding hikes, and the picturesque scenery made it feel like stepping into a fairytale.
On the way, we visited another amazing castle carved into the rock face—an unforgettable sight that showcased the country’s rich history. We also explored some smaller towns and the capital, Ljubljana, with its charming streets and festive atmosphere during the holidays. Oh, and how could I forget the ziplining adventure close to Lake Bled? It was the perfect way to add a little thrill to the trip!
