Malta
This country was such an incredible surpirse for me!
To be honest, I only visited because I found a tricky layover - and ended up paying way less money for my flights by stopping in Malta. (Yes I might have spent more in the end, because I stayed for 5 days, but we don't talk about tiny details like this one).
The amount of incredible museums in Malta absolutely blew me away! What do you mean you can just go inside catacombs, roman houses, World War 2 bunkers, or a monastery which strictly had no contact with the outside world for hundreds of years!
And I still didn't mention the mesmerizing scenery! Just so beautiful, wherever you go!
Oh and the island of Gozo? With that seashore where they filmed multiple scenes for Game of Thrones? I was sitting by the edge of the rock wall for hours not believing my eyes!
